Balfour
Road was opened in June 1998 to offer specialist support
to adults with learning difficulties. The house accommodates
four people with a staff team of six plus a manager, offering
round the clock staffing. |
Situated
in Birkenhead, close to shops, local amenities & Oxton village,
access to restaurants, local pubs and the main shopping area
of Birkenhead are within easy walking distance.
Support
is provided on an individual basis with key workers allocated,
responsible for care plans, personal needs etc.
Residents
views are actively sought with regard to the day to day running
of the home and their participation in household chores etc.
is encouraged.
Balfour
Road is a home in it’s truer sense as well as a
care home, with the four residents having a sense of belonging
and the values of ‘homes are for living in’
upheld by staff and residents alike.
