"Our purpose is to provide consistently high standards of professional support in order that those we provide services for can live as normally as possible where their individuality, independence, dignity and rights are respected and upheld."

S.C.C.T. works to achieve this through: -

• Directly providing a wide range of needs-based services for people with autistic spectrum disorders.
  
• Raising professional and public awareness of people with autistic spectrum disorders and their families.
  
• Working with statutory and other bodies to ensure services appropriate to the needs of individuals are provided.
  
• Providing information to lobby legislators and funding bodies to ensure that adequate funding is available to support the required services.
