Staff

Staff training and development is ongoing within the home, in keeping with the home’s IIP (Investors in People) award.

Trained nurses are on duty 24 hours per day, all of which have a particular interest in the care of the elderly.

Care Assistants are chosen for their understanding and genuine caring abilities

All staff are trained in:

  • health and safety
  • awareness of residents’ needs, dignity and confidentiality

All kitchen staff must reach a minimum of basic food and hygiene.

All care staff are trained in:

  • first aid
  • basic food and hygiene
  • and must reach a minimum of NVQ2

The Head Carers hold their NVQ3 certificates, as do many of the Senior Carers.
All nurses are qualified to RGN I or RGN II.
